Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service is urging parents to make sure their children know how to stay safe and enjoy the water this summer.
During the current spell of warm weather, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service is issuing a reminder to anyone tempted to cool off in rivers, canals, ponds, reservoirs or lakes - swimming in open water can have deadly consequences.
