Children’s author to tour primary schools in Cumbria in June
Popular children’s author Fay Evans is undertaking a tour of primary schools in Cumbria in June to inspire young readers and share her latest book.
The week-long tour by the author of rhyming stories for fabulously illustrated books has been organised by Cumbria County Council’s Library Services for Schools team. Fay will be visiting nine primary schools across Cumbria between Monday 10 and Friday 14 June 2019 to share her new book Bob’s Beard.
Fay is looking forward to visiting primary schools in Maryport, Sedbergh, Barrow-in-Furness, Penrith, Kendal and Cockermouth. Her author visits include lots of audience participation, props and cuddly characters, as well as actions and rhymes for the children to learn and join in with.
Fay’s engaging storytelling sessions are suitable for primary school pupils from Pre School and Reception classes, right through to Year 6. As well as reading her latest book, Fay will be answering questions from young readers and budding writers about life as a children’s author.

The Cheshire-based author visits primary schools across the UK to share her stories, boost literacy and promote a love of reading and writing. To celebrate the launch of her latest book Bob’s Beard, Fay is currently offering free author visits to primary schools.
