Cumbria’s Director of Public Health to host live vaccine Q&A

Cumbria's Director of Public Health, Colin Cox, is set to host a Q&A on Facebook Live this week to discuss the government’s announcement that 12-15 year olds are to be offered the COVID-19 vaccine.

The event will be hosted on Facebook Live through Cumbria County Council’s Facebook Page on Thursday 16 September from 7pm-8pm.

The event is an opportunity for people to hear what the latest vaccine announcement means and ask any questions they may have.

Around 400 people have joined previous live events, asking a very wide range of questions, but you can just tune in and watch if you prefer.

Mr Cox said:

"With the government’s announcement that 12-15 year olds are to be offered the COVID-19 vaccine, I’m sure many will want to know what this means for them and their children, so if you have any questions please join the event and I’ll answer as many questions as I can.

"Some of the details of this are still emerging so I might not have all the answers, but if there are things I don't know we always try to get back to people over email. I really value the opportunity to talk to people directly about what is going on.”

People do not need a Facebook account to watch the event, but do need one if they wish to ask a question.

Please note that threatening or abusive behaviour will result in individuals being removed from the discussion.
