Your opportunity to tell us about Egremont - join our virtual workshops to have your say!
Cumbria County Council’s Copeland Area Support Team has worked with a range of local partners to create an Egremont Town Team, which includes representatives from the local community in Egremont, to develop a ‘place vision’ for Egremont. This aim of the new group is to:
- Attract new businesses to our town centre.
- Increase and retain our working age population.
- Raise the standard of the physical environment in our town.
- Increase the number of people living in and around Egremont.
- Deliver new jobs and opportunities for economic and social participation.
- Increase the number of visitors who spend time and money in Egremont.
We want to use the new place vision to build local pride and confidence in the town, and to help us further develop Egremont as we reignite our economy following the Coronavirus pandemic. We want to hear what makes you proud about Egremont, how you feel about the area and how you might like it to develop in the future.
By hosting two ‘virtual’ workshops and an online survey, we are seeking your insight, thoughts and knowledge to help shape a powerful vision for Egremont.
We will be hosting a ‘virtual’ morning workshop with residents, organisations and businesses representing the Egremont community, using the Zoom platform on May 19, 2021 09:00. Register in advance for this meeting here.
We will be also hosting a ‘virtual’ evening workshop with residents, organisations and businesses representing the Egremont community using the Zoom platform on May 18, 2021 18:00. Register in advance for this meeting here.
