Cumbria County Council has brought together local partners to create a Penrith Town Team, which includes representatives from Cumbria CVS, Cumbria County Council, Eden District Council, Penrith Town Council, Penrith Business Improvement District, Penrith Chamber of Trade, and Penrith Industrial Business Improvement District, who are working together to develop a ‘place vision’ for Penrith. This will help to:
We want to use the new place vision to build local pride and confidence in the town, and to help us further develop Penrith as we reignite our economy following the Coronavirus pandemic. We want to hear what makes you proud about Penrith, how you feel about the area and how you might like it to develop in the future.
By hosting two ‘virtual’ workshops and an online survey, we are seeking your insight, thoughts and knowledge to help shape a powerful vision for Penrith.
We will be hosting a ‘virtual’ morning and evening workshop with residents, organisations and businesses of the Penrith community, using the Zoom platform on:
Tuesday 25 May 9.30am to 11am. Please register in advance for this meeting here.
Wednesday 26 May 6pm to 7.30pm. Please register in advance for this meeting here.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting
If you would like to get involved, please register for the session and joining instructions with further information will follow ahead of the session.
You can also respond to the online survey here. The closing date is Friday 28 May.
