Cumbria County Council has allocated £6,000 to Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS), a climate change charity, to provide grants to community groups hosting events during Great Big Green Week, 10-18 June.

Six separate funding schemes are now in place to support households and businesses affected by flooding, with a seventh scheme to fund household flood protection set to launch on 4 January.
The government is providing local authorities with Community Grants as part of the Communities and Business Recovery Scheme.
