A living willow sculpture has been created by staff and service users from Cumbria County Council’s Hensingham Day Service as part of a project funded by the Cumbria Coastal Community Forest.
Almost 400 trees were planted today (Friday 3 March) at Rosebank Recreation Ground in Hensingham as part of a Cumbria Coastal Community Forest woodland creation scheme.
Cumbria Coastal Community Forest has been allocated almost £900,000 in extra funding by Defra to plant trees and create new woodlands under plans to increase access to nature for communities across England.
